How Clinical Insight Leads to Improved Healthcare Software Design & Development
Many years ago when I was in nursing school, I had to take a class on caring. My first thoughts were: Why am I having to take a class on caring? Of course I care, I want to be a nurse. But as the semester progressed, the instructor guided the class down a path of instilling empathy for our patients and enhancing our critical thinking skills.
Little did I know at that time I would use those same caring skills to design and develop healthcare software applications. When I met PointClear Solutions’ Chief Experience Officer, Lee Farabaugh, I was taken back to the days of my Caring class. Lee and I chatted for a very long time about the company’s philosophy for designing and developing software for healthcare. I quickly decided I wanted to be a part of this organization. Lee and I began collaborating on how to incorporate my clinical knowledge and experience into PointClear’s framework. As a result of this collaboration, we created the Clinical Insight group. In the weeks to come, I will share more about how we weave Clinical Insight into all of our projects, leading to improved provider workflow and safer applications for patients. Stay tuned!
