Happy Anniversary to the PointClear Team!
It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since Blaine Anderson, Neal Evans, Lee Farabaugh and Donnie Gooch founded PointClear Solutions. For several years the founding team worked with clients designing and developing healthcare and non-healthcare applications. This set the company apart from competitors by instilling intense UX expertise led by Lee. Over time the client portfolio became more centered on Healthcare and Healthcare IT clients.
In 2009, I was invited to come on board as the President and CEO. With my experience building successful companies it was a perfect fit. Our biggest client at the time was the Clinic business owned by Walgreens called TakeCare Health. We helped TakeCare for a number of years with their portals to drive consumer and provider engagement. Another perfect fit.
Over the years, PointClear has grown many times over and now has offices in Atlanta (HQ), Nashville, Birmingham and New York City. Our New York team came to us via the acquisition of Worry Free Labs in 2013. I had known for years that we needed to bring elegant, consumer-grade design and mobile app expertise into healthcare. Healthcare technology was, and is, desperately needing this skill set. After searching several years for firms to acquire we finally found Worry Free. It has been a huge benefit for our clients, and a significant differentiator for PointClear.
We are currently upgrading to a new Innovation and Delivery Center in Nashville which will be up and running early next year. This will allow us to better serve our clients and will foster improved creativity and collaboration among our employees.
I know it’s a cliché, but what makes us different is our team. Not only do we have incredible designers and engineers but also product strategists, former clinicians and solution management specialists. We like to say we can take your idea all the way to implementation – from Strategy to Design to Build and even Manage software products and applications.
But this is really a celebration about our clients – past and present. We’ve had the privilege of working with startups, venture capital backed disruptors, mid-market high growth HCIT providers, and top tier market share incumbents like McKesson, Emdeon (Change Healthcare), and Greenway Health. We also partner with provider organizations, health plans, pharma and device companies with digital health solutions.
I learned years ago you can build a great company and gain market share in a chaotic market environment. Healthcare and Healthcare IT are definitely experiencing transformation, some would even say chaos, these days.
We are excited about the opportunity of partnering with our clients to provide innovative solutions to their mobile and digital health challenges during the next ten years and beyond.
