PointClear Solutions is pleased to announce that Lee Farabaugh, Director of Usability and Shareholder, was honored today as one of the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2007 Top 40 Under 40. This award recognizes young professionals in the Birmingham area who truly make a difference in the Birmingham business community.
The 23rd annual awards luncheon was held at The Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover. The event began with networking at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch and program at 11:45 a.m.
Farabaugh states that her guiding business principle is to "Always be honest with people and reward those who work hard."
"My profession is user experience and usability engineering. It involves learning about the users of a product and what they want to do with that product, or how they want to use the product to accomplish a goal. Then that knowledge is applied to product design, to ensure that the product is viable and desirable. Products I work on range from software applications on mobile devices to web sites to wearable devices. I have always loved computers and loved design, so working in web design and development was a natural choice, especially because I graduated from college right at the time people were starting to take the Internet seriously and understand it could be used as a business tool. I also love talking to people and hearing their stories. So, it's a natural fit to work with people to create software applications that meet their needs."
